What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar tools include local storage and pixels. They can be strictly necessary for a site to function, or optional where they measure or remember something that is not required to load the page.
Cookies we use
Essential
A session cookie named joseco_session is set when an authorised user signs in to the administration area. It is HTTP-only, used to keep that person signed in, and is not used for public advertising. Public visitors who never open the staff login do not receive it.
The enquiry and application forms include a hidden field that humans do not fill in. That is not a cookie; it is a check against automated submissions.
Analytics
No analytics measurement ID is published at present. Analytics scripts and their cookies are therefore not loaded. If that changes, this paragraph will be updated and the measurement ID will appear in site settings. We will not silently add a tracker.
What we do not use
JOSECO does not currently operate advertising networks, retargeting pixels or social plugins that follow you around the web. A Meta pixel ID exists as a setting so it can be added later; it is not loaded while the field is empty.
How to control cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may stop staff login from working. Blocking analytics cookies, where present, will not stop you reading the public pages or sending a form.
You can also use the controls offered by Google for Analytics, where that product is in use, and the industry opt-outs that apply in your jurisdiction.
